Job Description
APPRENTICE TRAIL BUILDERApproximately 40 hours a week, starting mid-March through November 15th.
Monday through Friday 7:00 am through 4:00 pm
Expected Pay $15.00 – $20.00 depending on experience.
Who We Are Looking For:
The candidate for Highland Trails Apprentice will have some experience in building and maintaining trails, be in good physical shape and be comfortable using various hand tools. Basic bike handling skills and a desire to ride at Highland are a must. The role will include, but is not limited to:
Build and maintain trails ranging from Freeride flow trails to Technical downhill trails.
Complete tasks assigned by a Highland Trails Master or Journeyman Trail Builder.
Skills Required:
Ability to take and follow directions.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision.
Experience in building and maintaining trails.
Ability to use hand tools for trail maintenance and building.
Basic chainsaw use and maintenance experience is considered an asset.
Highland Mountain trail knowledge is considered an asset.
