Job Description

The successful candidate will help to facilitate the successful implementation and operation of the Maine Trails Program. This $30 million dollar bond funded program is modeled after RTP and will provide funding for acquisition, development and or renovation of trails across the state. Key job functions include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating high-level trail planning initiatives in coordination with other state and local agencies, tribal governments, trail advocacy, and trail user constituencies.
- Developing comprehensive processes for all aspects of trail project delivery.
- Creating internal and external partnerships to assure those processes and systems are effective and efficient all while ensuring the department’s mission plays a central role in decision making.
