Liam is a conservation enthusiast with a strong interest in trail design and publicly accessible lands. He discovered his passion during his AmeriCorps service with The Student Conservation Association (SCA), where he served on a roving trail crew across the Pacific Northwest and later with the NYS Excelsior Conservation Corps' Infrastructure and Sustainability Crew. Throughout his AmeriCorps service, Liam gained practical work skills experience and received specialized trainings in carpentry, wet and dry masonry, and historic preservation practices. After his time with the SCA, Liam became the Senior Trails Technician for New York State Park’s Thousand Islands region. There, he helped manage the trails in the region’s 28 state parks and supervised the day-to-day work of the SCA Parks Corps trail crew, providing their main source of on-the-job training and trail skills instruction.

Liam joined MALT as the Trails and Volunteer Manager in 2023, to use his knowledge and experience to support MALT's mission of preserving and protecting the natural beauty of Addison County. In his free time, Liam enjoys hiking, making things with his hands, and exploring new trails far and wide. Liam is eager to contribute his skills and experience to MALT's work and help ensure the well-being and long-term sustainability of the area's natural and human communities.
