This webinar will discuss new, innovative approaches for a more sustainable future on trails.

Crawford Path is the oldest continuously maintained foot path in the U.S. for recreational use. Established in 1819 to lead people to the top of Mount Washington, New Hampshire it has faced many challenges. Changes and challenges faced include changing land ownership, partial Appalachian Trail designation, sharing a boundary of the Presidential – Dry River Wilderness, rare plant habitat, heavy use, extreme and changing weather patterns, and lacking funding for maintenance. Crawford Path’s bicentennial celebration also presented opportunities to raise awareness and bring trail maintainers together for some new, innovative approaches for more sustainable future on trails. Join us to take home some important ideas for sustainable trails!

Learning credits will be available to attendees and are included in the registration fee. The length of the session will determine the number of hours/credits given. In order to obtain credits, attendees must fill out an evaluation survey for each session they attend, as well as complete a learning credit tracking form noting each session they are requesting credits for (or a quiz if virtual).
